Do not attach rafters until they have been

evenly spaced. (approx 12” inside to inside,

extend approx. 4.5” past the header on

each side.

Once headers and two rafters are squared

up and in place, secure with a 2.5”

self-tapping screw (C) and screw cap (D)

through the center of the post and

header. Repeat for the rafters. Do Not

over tighten as this may cause dents in

the posts.

Use the #10 x 1” self-tapping screw (A) and

screw cap (D) to secure the rafter in the 2”

stringer bracket (E).

Space the purlin evenly (approx 7-1/8”).

The overhang should be the same on both

sides (approx 4”). If you modify the width

of the arbor these measurements will

change.
